The Raising Tax Revenues process has three main components:

1. Building an enhanced knowledge base about relevant research, policies, and initiatives. Currently we are mapping the existing work on taxation and development of different organizations. To enter information about your organization, click here . This website will also provide an overview of relevant academic literature, policy papers, and civil society reports. In addition, three new papers will review international and domestic factors limiting tax revenues in developing countries and the relationship between external aid and taxation.

2. Stimulating an informed policy dialogue on the subject and cooperation between different actors. In November 2009, we will organise a seminar to present and discuss the work of different organizations on taxation and development, the three draft papers menioned above, and recent developments in research, policy and international cooperation. Information about the seminar will follow on this website.

3. Embedding outcomes in existing initiatives and networks. The activities and results of the process will result in a plan for follow-up activities, such as further policy-relevant research projects, the development of additional practical tools, and continuation of information exchange via existing networks.
